In the hard-fought 2-1 victory over Malaysia on June 11, coach Park Hang-seo was yellowed by Japanese referee Sato Ryuji when he rushed to the field to react because Nguyen Phong Hong Duy was fouled by Krasniqi near the technical area of the Vietnamese team.
According to the tournament rules of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Mr. Park will only be able to watch in the stands like a normal audience. This will be a great loss for the Vietnamese team when the Korean leader is not present on the bench.
Article 14.3 stipulates that when a coach is banned from directing, he will not be allowed to enter the dressing room, appear in the stadium tunnel, technical areas, including the area for substitutes.
– You can sit in the stands, but not enter the areas adjacent to the playing field, which are secured.
– It is not allowed to contact or contact anyone related to the match in any way during the match.
– Do not attend the post-match press conference and related media activities held on the pitch, except for the pre-match press conference one day before.
Previously, Mr. Park received a yellow card in the first leg against Thailand in September 2019 in Bangkok during the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.
The situation took place when midfielder Bui Tien Dung collided with Chanathip Songkrasin. Mr. Park reacted fiercely when he thought that Chanathip was the one who made the mistake, but Bui Tien Dung was fined. As a result, the Korean leader received a yellow card from referee Al-Adba.
According to the regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Park has to pay the fine himself every time he gets a card because this is in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
