Apple devices that are still under warranty, or have just activated the warranty, will be able to repair damaged parts instead of exchanging new machines as before. Apple does not completely eliminate the exchange policy, but only a few cases apply.
According to information from Apple Authorized Service Center in Vietnam (ASSP), this warranty policy has started to be applied, customers who come to use the service will be notified of more details. Warranty conditions are based on each specific case. The equipment when brought to ASSp will be checked and replaced when having problems instead of changing new machines as before.
For Apple authorized business units such as Cellphones, it is normally still being renewed during the first 30 days of use. Only then officially activate the warranty at the company. At this stage, the replacement or replacement of components will be decided by ASSP, based on the actual condition.
According to Apple’s new policy, machines with damaged components such as cameras, vibrators, speakers, voice mics and physical keys will usually be replaced with corresponding components. In the past, these errors were always easy to change 1 to 1.
Even with serious damage, in more important parts such as Main, screen … Apple will also replace the corresponding damaged parts instead of changing the machine. However, only a few big dealers like Cellphones in the early stages of 2021 still accept to change phones for these cases.
The case to change the device in this new policy is quite rare. The machine is damaged by many components at the same time, or the repair cost is too great. In fact, this is what Apple has been adopting globally. Thus, the rate of machine exchange will decrease significantly, instead, the warranty trend is mainly repair and replacement of components.
